Principal's Letter

Welcome to Chelsea Intermediate School!

At Chelsea, we take pride in the opportunities present in our building for third, fourth and fifth grade students. Through rich academic and social-emotional programming and the partnership we have with our families, students and staff, we strive to make the three years at Chelsea some of your child’s best at Frankfort 157-C!

The school day at Chelsea emphasizes opportunities for students to learn through lessons that are innovative and engaging. Throughout the building, instruction underscores high expectations of achievement in the core content areas of reading, writing, math, social studies and science coupled with the encore subjects of art, music, physical education, STEM and Spanish. Students will develop their skills in critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. Our highly qualified teachers strive to challenge all students in their classrooms while making sure to create a safe and fun space to learn!

In the Chelsea School community, we are inclusive and embrace all. It is important that every child has a place in our school family. We ensure to create this sense of community through our character education program - Character Counts. Through this initiative, Chelsea students and staff build relationships by working to demonstrate respect, responsibility and caring in all they do.

Our important partnership between the families, students and staff is invaluable to Chelsea! This relationship will benefit the students as we continue to learn and grow together. Please expect consistent communication and requests for your feedback in our initiatives.

I am privileged to be part of the Frankfort 157-C community and to serve as the principal of Chelsea Intermediate School. The door is always open so please reach out to me if you need anything. I cannot wait to meet you and your child. We will all have a great school year together!
