|Ms. Pamela Dettman - Physical Education|
Welcome back to school Tigers! I hope that all families enjoyed their summer and everyone is excited to start off the 2018-2019 school year! We will be participating in a variety of units throughout the year including individual, partner, and team sports as well as fitness activities.
Teacher Profile: This is my fourth year as a Tiger in Frankfort School District 157c as I come from the Lincoln-Way High School District. I am a huge Chicago Blackhawks fan and my favorite exercise is kickboxing! Iím looking forward to the 2018-2019 school year and working with the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the school year through e-mail or phone.
Governor Pat Quinn signed Erin's Law in January of 2013, which requires all schools in the state of Illinois to provide age appropriate sexual abuse and assault awareness and prevention education programs for their students in grades Pre-K through 12. In response to this legislation, Frankfort School District 157-C will be adding, "Child Lures Prevention: Think First and Stay Safe", curriculum for the school year. The grade level social workers will join your student's PE/Health teacher to facilitate discussion and provide information regarding the pertinent topics. All presentations and discussion will be age-appropriate using sensitivity and language to educate your child for increased safety.
