Governor Pat Quinn signed Erin's Law in January of 2013, which requires all schools in the state of Illinois to provide age appropriate sexual abuse and assault awareness and prevention education programs for their students in grades Pre-K through 12. In response to this legislation, Frankfort School District 157-C will be adding, "Child Lures Prevention: Think First and Stay Safe", curriculum for the school year. The curriculum is available in the school office for parents to preview. Erin's law curriculum will be presented to our students during the week of January 22, 2019.
Invitation Reminder: We never want to have a child feel left out or have their feelings hurt by not receiving an invitation to a party. Even as adults, we know the emotional hurt from being excluded. This is why we highly discourage the passing out of invitations at school. The only exception is if you are inviting the whole class and the invitations are distributed by your childís teacher. Invitations are never to be distributed by a student or parent. Thank you for your cooperation.
If you have any questions, please contact your building administrator.
