|Ann Baud - Special Education K-2|
Welcome to the 2018-19 school year. I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with your child this school year. As we start the school year, the first couple of weeks I will be teaching your child the importance of following our classroom expectations. Communication is very important as a teacher and a parent in the 157c community. I am here to help guide and support you and your child.
You can expect communication daily through our "Daily Communication Sheet." Please remember to view daily, sign and return with any questions, concerns or comments.
We follow the TIGER schedule. Please check your child's general education teacher's webpage for their specials schedule.
Your child will have P.E. daily so remember to have gym shoes available.
Lunch/Recess by Grade Level:
First Grade: 12:05-12:45
Second Grade: 11:40-12:20
Please provide a HEALTHY snack as your child will be given time throughout their day to snack.
Our classroom gets chilly. Please try to send in an extra sweater to stay warm.
If there is a change in transportation please make sure to notify the school, general education teacher and myself by phone or email as soon as possible.

As a classroom, we are expected to follow classroom rules and expectations. As we move forward the students will have the opportunity to earn a "Classroom Marble Celebration" as a class. Our students will vote on their goal on how many marbles we need to earn to have a celebration.
Whole Class Marble Celebrations:
We earned our 5th marble. We need to earn two more to celebrate!!!
Our new goal is set to earn SEVEN marbles for our next celebration.
Now that the weather is getting colder please remember to send your child to school with warmer clothes as well as gloves and hats as we will still be having outdoor recess.
We learned the importance of following directions the first time. We are now working extra hard to earn free play for following directions from the teachers in the classroom.
"Sit down in your chair." (wait 10 sec. for compliance)
"PLEASE sit down in your chair." (wait 10 sec. for compliance)
"You NEED to sit down in your chair."
(at this time a minute (shape) gets taken away toward the ten minute free play)
March Student of the Month will focus on students demonstrating responsibility in school! Remember to wear green on Thursdays.
